Ami and Jordan, some sweet friends of ours, recently hosted a gender reveal party for their soon to be, first born. They waited a long time to start their family, waiting for Jordan to finish law school and get a job in his field. They also bought a house during their wait. So this little wee one has been prayed for, much anticipated, and loved even before conceived. Needless to say, the day they announced they were expecting was a joyous day for many.
Coming in to the party, you see a lot of pink and blue. Flowers, sweet tassel bunting and balloons rising high toward the tall ceiling of Maple Street Biscuit Company, the restaurant where the party was held.

All the guests could guess if it was a boy or a girl, and were asked to wear a clothes pin proclaiming their vote.
Mom and dad were both predicting a girl. Hmmm, do they know something we don't?
They had lots of yummy food, but all eyes were on the cake that evening. It held the secret.
Proud little mama, showing off her baby bump.
Dad, looking pretty confident with his prediction.
But the hour finally came. I'm not sure how they waited so long to dig into that cake to find out!
IT'S A....
BOY!
It was a sweet evening, and no one is more excited then the mama and papa to be. Little Noah can't come soon enough!
Congratulations Ami and Jordan!
