I just love my little sunroom. Even though it isn't used for much, mainly an overflow room for the living room when we have guests, I think it is a sweet room. The light that floods in the room in the mornings is so cheery, even on a cloudy day like today.
It is my favorite room in the house to sit and read.
Recently, a friend was getting rid of a couple matching side chairs. They were small in scale, and since my sunroom is small, I thought they would be perfect for the space. I decided to trade out the larger Tommy Bahama wicker chairs for these little gems. I bought a large painters drop cloth, and for $33 and a day and a half of labor, I was able to slip cover both chairs!
Since the chairs were given to me, it was a pretty inexpensive facelift!
Another addition to the space was this cotton mat from Urban Outfitters. I love cotton mats because they are machine washable in my large front loading washing machine. With a little dog in the house, this comes in very handy (if you know what I mean)!!
The small chest was purchased at one of my favorite antique shops. I left it with the old chippy paint it had on it when I purchased it.
The Hoosier Cabinet was one of the first purchases my husband and I made after getting married. We found it at a thrift store for $50! Unfortunately I didn't leave the original paint on it. 30 plus years later, it's a bit late for that. But I do enjoy the fun pop of color the turquoise brings to the room.
As you can see, I have some spring touches in the space right now. This little room is a fun to decorate for any season.
Thanks for taking a peek into my freshened up sunroom. I hope you have a cheery day!
